Wrapping Up Christmas

Some years I have such a hard time letting go of the holidays. Judging from the fact that my tree and lights and everything else are all still perfectly in tact, I guess I'm having post-holiday trauma disorder or something. We are the very last house in our area with lights. I used to be a strict "decorations down by Jan 1" sort of a girl. Kevin said I should wait until the day after. Well one day leads to another and now I am starting to fear we will be all decorated for Christmas in July if I don't get my act together.

We managed to visit both of our parents (Arizona and Utah) over the holidays. The boys traveled better than we expected, though I'm not signing up for any long road trips any time soon. Kedrick got to ride on Grandpa Bunker's forklift and Grandpa Miller's tractor all in the same trip! Can life get any better? The boys weren't exactly used to playing in 30 degree weather so we had a lot of quality indoor time. A highlight for me was watching my brother, Kent, single handedly tame the brood of nieces and nephews by convincing them to have a sleep competition. Kent, with a smile on his face, is very difficult to say no to! We got to see my parents' new home! When we walked in the door, I finally understood why they have ditched us all down here in San Diego for Toquerville. The views are stunning and their home is a dream.

Kent taming the youngins. Notice resistant Kedrick to the far left. Kent even got him down eventually!

Looks like you had a great time! I would love to see someone else tame my little ones to sleep. I can't believe you did all that traveling during that time...thank goodness your boys are good travelers!

I'm glad you are leaving all your Christmas up. Maybe I will get a chance to see what you did for decorations or at least Jeff can tell me about it after he leaves tonight. Looks like visiting family was great. I guess there is a reason we brave the travel the sicknesses.
